Curriculum Intent

At Polam Hall School, our Mathematics curriculum aims to:  

• Build children's fluency in mathematics through varied and frequent practice.  

• Enable students to solve problems by applying their mathematics to a variety of situations, encouraging a resilient and enthusiastic attitude towards challenge.  

• Ensure students are able to reason mathematically through a curriculum that develops a deeper understanding as a result of its mastery approach.   

• Inspire an enjoyment in and appreciation of the beauty of mathematics and its appearance in everyday life as well as the impact the skills developed can have.
