Geography

Curriculum Intent

At Polam Hall School our Geography curriculum aims to:

Enrich students' learning experience by underpinning geographical themes with skills that are transferrable in their education and adult life.

Study the “why of where.”

Provide opportunities for students to learn about human and natural phenomena, and the interaction of both.

Enable students to become observers and analysts of space, place, and environment on scales from the local to the global.

Introduce students to a multifaceted discipline that bridges the social sciences, the humanities, and the physical sciences.

At GCSE students follow the Edexcel specification. Further details can be found using this link: https://qualifications.pearson.com/en/qualifications/edexcel-gcses/geography-a-2016.html
