    Celebrating Exam Success!

Polam Hall School – celebrating diversity!

Polam Hall students and staff are celebrating A Level success today and the diversity of the destinations for our students. We are hugely proud of the success of all of our A Level students but worthy of a particular mention are:

Alfreya Bell is an incredibly talented actress and dancer, directing, acting and choreographing not only for school productions but also in local amateur dramatics groups and working with Jabberwocky Market, the Darlington pop up theatre company. Alfreya will be taking her place on the prestigious acting degree course at the Liverpool Institute of the Performing Arts.

Mia Borley, plays Hockey for the Welsh international team takes up a sports scholarship at the University of Maine. Mia aced her ACT tests and was placed in the top 25% of all applicants – in addition to her sporting prowess which saw her compete at the Senior Indoor European Hockey Championships in January this year.

Ben Pearson who achieved an A* in History will be moving on to The University of York to read History. History is Ben’s passion and we are very proud of his success.

The Hartley sisters – Amy and Emily – both received unconditional offers and will head off to study at the same university: Leeds Trinity University. Amy will study Business and Management while Emily will study Broadcast Journalism.

In all 81% of Polam Hall Year 13 students have gone on to their first choice destination, whether that is to university, apprenticeship or employment. We wish them every success on the exciting journeys ahead!
